the IEA SHC held the task55 experts conference and training for first time in China

The International Energy Agency's Solar Heating and Refrigeration Commission (IEA SHC) is the most authoritative and highest-level intergovernmental energy organization in the field of solar thermal, bringing the world's top experts and technical resources together.

The Task55 Expert Conference of the IEA SHC is a world-class expert exchange meeting focused on solar heating and cooling technology.

On 29 and 30 October, the Solar Academy of the IEA SHC Program held a 1.5-day training course on solar district heating in Lianyungang, at Sunrain Solar Energy’s headquarters. It provided around 150 researchers, engineers, planners, other technical staff and students from organizations with ties to the solar thermal industry with the opportunity to listen to presentations by four dedicated experts from Europe Germany, Denmark, Austriaand China and obtain a course certificate thereafter (see photo). The event had been organized in cooperation with the China Academy of Building Research (CABR) and Sunrain Solar Energy, the world’s largest collector manufacturer.

The core of this Task 55 is - Towards the Integration of Large SHC Systems into District Heating and Cooling (DHC) Network

At this meeting, the team leader of task55, technical consultant of European Solar Energy Association Jan Eruk Nielsen, CEO of Solid Company of Austria, Christian Holter of task55 group, life-time professor of civil engineering department of Danish University of Science and Technology, Fan Jianhua of expert of task55 group, Chinese architecture Researcher of Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., Zheng Ruicheng, Chief Engineer of National Solar Water Heater Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing), He Tao, Vice Chairman of the Energy Supply and Refrigeration Committee of the International Energy Agency (IEA-SHC), Vice Chairman of the National Solar Standardization Technical Committee, International Energy The head of the IEA-SHC Task55 project, Sunrain Chief Engineer Jiao Qingtai and other solar heating and cooling experts from around the world made a theme project sharing at the meeting.

Jiao Qingtai said that in the future development of renewable clean energy, solar heating has great potential and its status will become more and more prominent. “Sunrain Group combines international advanced technology and rich practical experience with China's market development and services to leverage its technological advantages to innovate and develop large-scale solar energy trans-season heat storage heating systems, while sharing research results and jointly promoting industrial upgrading.”

During the training interval, the experts also visited Sunrain Group and learned more about the Sunrain exhibition hall, electric heating factory, photothermal laboratory, SWT laboratory, artificial solar simulation testing room and solar wall project, to know the development history of Sunrain Group in the past 20 years, more intuitive to appreciate the superior technical research and development strength of Sunrain.
